At Miss Candace’s House Early Learning Center, our mission is to provide a nurturing and engaging early childhood experience rooted in the Montessori philosophy and a play-to-learn approach. We create a carefully prepared environment where children are encouraged to explore, experiment, and develop essential life skills through hands-on, self-directed activities.

Our curriculum is designed to support whole-child development through:

• Practical Life Skills – Activities such as pouring, buttoning, and food
  preparation foster independence, fine motor skills, and self-care.

• Sensorial Exploration – Montessori materials like color tablets, sound
  cylinders, and texture boards help children refine their senses and develop
  cognitive skills.

• Language and Literacy – Phonics-based learning, storytelling, and pre-writing
  exercises encourage early reading and communication skills.

• Mathematics – Hands-on materials like number rods, bead chains, and counting games introduce mathematical concepts in a concrete, engaging way.

• Science and Nature – Outdoor exploration, gardening, and simple experiments spark curiosity about the natural world.

• Art and Creativity – Open-ended art projects, music, and dramatic play allow children to express themselves freely and develop creativity.

• Social-Emotional Development – Group play, conflict resolution activities, and mindfulness exercises help children build empathy, cooperation, and self-regulation skills.

Through sensory play, imaginative storytelling, and interactive learning experiences,
we support each child's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical
development at their own pace. Our educators serve as guides,
respecting each child’s individual journey and helping them build
confidence, resilience, and a sense of community.
